So today I went to a "Hunted out" park as they say. Found a couple more silvers. 2 very nice condition rosies and one nice 44 wheat. But gosh darn it I want a mercury. I know most of you guys laugh at the mercury dimes but for some reason I have never found one.. lol

Oh well I will get one sooner or later.. Still a great day getting out after the trying last week.. Beautiful Day here in CA.. 75* with tons of sun!!

I've found double the number of Mercs as Rosies for some reason. What confuses me is why I can barely find anything else from that time period....wheats is about it for me from that couple of decades.

Well, I felt sorry for your Mercury-less condition...right up until you said it was 75 degrees, lol. J/k. It's funny how some coins stay away from some people's coils. War nickles are my nemesis. I am sure you will get yours soon. Until then, I hope your finds are interesting and plentiful.

Jackalope, I know your mercs are all laying out there cold wet and dark patiently waiting for your coil to pass over them so you can take them home to be warm and dry with all there brothers sisters cousin's aunts and great uncles.
It has been said. So it shall be done.

I've found a lot of mercury dimes and being honest, I would rather find one of those than a silver Washington quarter.

I hear that there are debates to resurrect the liberty on coins again. They sure would look good, but they will probably be He-- when we dig them up. Be our luck, they move everything to zinc.

That's the same thing I was thinking last year. Seems to be a lot of mercury dimes out there. But I finally found one in sept, you'll get one! HH

You will find one sooner or later..lucky & a good sign that youre finding rosies there. I searched a spot I was certain to find barbers & all I got was mercurys' early ones ..
