Guys both those cobs were shallow. We'd been over the same spots several times already but I was digging anything that even crackled with a higher pitch. While the half reale cob at maybe 4/5 inches sounded pretty good the older 1 reale cob sounded like crap at just a couple inches. You damn skippy we're missing a lot. Read that article Bill D. provided a page or 2 back. This is exactly the conclusion I came to. My digging here will be closer to that of a beach than a grassy yard. I got the fever bad too. It aint a case of finding a little something to make me content. The more I find the more I want to find.
