for the most part there is still snow on the ground but if i look real hard i can find a few places were the ground has thawed
i found my first tootsie car and a coin holder that dates between 1910 and 1920 no coins in the holder but did find 86 cents in clad

Frank came to my house with the coin holder, filthy and unopened. he pops the lid and says "it's make-up", then taps it and dirt crud comes out. I take it to the sink and whip out the toothbrush and spot 2 rusty springs, grab a nickel and dime and fit is perfect. held about 75 cents which was a lot of money back then. we hit that parcel last year and I snagged an '05 Barber dime down 3 inches at a tree base. after today's snow Frank and I will go back there to finish the job. well made piece with no markings, made of copper
