Big sleigh bell, which was my deepest good target.(dug bits and pieces of a cast iron stove deeper) The 1827 large cent is best coin of the day. Also got a 1881 indian cent. The one shell appears to fit the mini ball from Spanish American war camp. Usually those shells are long destroyed. Only 14 mini balls today but I think I am out of the range and closer to the camp. The WWI crap was everywhere how ever. One of the WWI pistols had a neat impact showing base mark. Also got a near complete WWI clip. Much better turn out today age wise. And of course a huge ax. For the hammer pile.

That ax is really awesome! Looks sturdy enough for some restoration effort too. Very good hunt when you can get a variety of finds we all look for. Congrats!

Cool bell, I like the LC too, try electrolysis on the ax, it might hold up well

For the axe, electrolysis or an extended vinegar soak and scrub with a brass wire brush. Then a fresh water rinse, an oven bake for an hour or two around 200 degrees. Then finish off with a wipe or two of curators wax while still warm (can be found at Lee Valley). I have a 1700's trade axe that stabilized after this.
