I need help finding out more information on this Havana Chest. It’s a hard wood with brass hinges, the inner is a red velvet lining. I was told that it is a box to store Cuba Cigars in, and was more then likely bought to the United States before the embargo of 1962 with Cuba. This is only one opinion I found. Hopefully one of you know the really store. I want to sell the box, but I don’t know how much.

Outer Dimensions – 8.5 inch long by 4.5 inch tall, and 6.5 inch back.
Inner Dimensions – 6.75 long by 3 inch tall (top included), and 4.75 back.

Not sure what the lid advertisement is made from.

Thanks for all comments.

Clad has it nailed, that's not a humidor. I'm a Cuban cigar smoker, a 2-a-day man, and you don't line a humidor with velvet. They are lined with cedar. It's a nice box anyway, but missing the tray and other items will knock it's value. I'd keep it, it'd be great for storing all of your best finds in.
