Hello everyone, went for my usual 2 1/2 hour after work hunt on a Friday at an area park I've worked before. I decided to go to a section that is extremely trashy and work low and slow. I found lots of clad and dug up lots of pulltabs until my patients ran out (no gold). I decided to stick with high tones when I did I found two great pieces of silver jewelry, The largest miraculous metal I've ever seen, sterling silver, and a really large and heavy 925 silver Native American pattern thumb ring.

Silver quarter in the photos is for scale only.

I'd say a very successful hunt, enjoy the photos. I found one of those medals on the last day last year, and it was only about an inch long.

It is funny you mention this. I am not into any of the metaphysical stuff, but I cannot-NOT believe some of it from lack of proof either way. Open minded I guess. Anyway, I started pocketing some stones in a pouch for luck and protection (tourmaline, lapis and a few more). I have to say that it seems that my luck definitely improves with them when I go detecting. I will get into a serious "dry" spell on good finds and treasures, like 8-12 detecting trips with nothing. When I carry the stones it seems like I break the cycle. I am not joking. Weird, unbelievable, I am not sure really

I know some folks will disagree and say I am insane. I am not sure if they work or not really. Just seems like nice coincidences. If I truly knew they worked I would carry them all the time I would think.

Well, I must confess I'm superstitious when it comes to my digging towel I had for the last couple of years. I just lost it yesterday, now I have to break in a new lucky towel all over again. I'm afraid if I carry pieces of silver for luck I'll end up loosing them!

Nice finds... I seem to find little girls sterling rings that weigh less than 2 grams. Got three last month! I am ready for a big chunk! GL&HH.
