being the curb digger man I am, recently spotted nice old corner house big field in back, roofers all over the thing, the roof, sale sign said under contract. I said sweet. Start on curb ease my way in.
Curb was quiet, squeeked out 2 wheats 3 clad dimes, zinc, trash, last 3' of curb pulled up little bent silver ring, that was enough to get motivated to get friends with roofers. I said I pull up nails. They said you are friend. I said sweet. Ten minutes into unfenced field, 4" quarter sound, out pops 1911 beaut. Sad to say I slaped lady liberty right on the cheek with lesche. That's what I get for easing on in. Later on ,the realtor came in, friendly man, thanks be to God. He was cool with me being there.] And I was to! They don't call me the slave for nada. Hope you enjoy picture.
Good luck to all, and happy hunting.

A For Sale sign still means someone owns that house. I can't begin to understand your logic.

It is still called trespassing and gives us bad name, why not just ask for permission to begin with...?

A find feels great when you obtain it legally, with permission, and in a way where everyone wins. What a sad day for a Barber quarter.

For the record you can not use TreasureNet to advocate breaking the law to detect a piece of property...

Trespasser's , not good for the hobby.
I'm sliverslave and I'm a metaldectoraholic.
I smell silver I smell gold.
I'm like a dog and just don't seem to care.
There scraping stuff out of Denver every day and hauling it off some where?
I want to preserve history. The realtor said Califorina company bought to build grow house dispencery and house for bud and breakfast.
That lot is to be scraped .

Congrats on...
Trespassing...
Theft...
And giving what I love "a bad name".

Please try to refrain from this sort of thing...
To be respectful is important to this already fragile "way of life" for many.
And by posting the story of your "scheme" you are sending a msg that I cannot just sit by and "agree with" by not posting my objection.

You are either part of a solution... or part of the problem...
Get permission...
Or sell your detector(s) to someone who will.

By saying this... I am only trying to help you see the "error" in this "tactic"...
And would like to see you continue to be a member of the MD and Tnet community.
