Had some variety today a little fiery "Bling!" and then a weird pen (maybe it used to light up) Todays nickel count was good at twelve. And a quarter sandwich was a fine way to end the days hunt too ! :occasion14:

Your finds tell me you're one who knows how to use their detector. A good sign of a hunted property is when you're finding nickels, but not too much else. Way too many people don't realize if you're missing the nickels you're missing the gold. I hit one heavily hunted spot earlier in the year before the ground froze and found 28 nickels in one afternoon. Two of them were war nickels. I also pulled a couple of mercs that weren't great signals and a 14k cameo frame. Find those nickels and the gold will follow. Really nice going!

Hi doninbrewster :hello:Nice nickel count there , wouldn't be surprised if I've dug 400 nickels + total there in last three years. Yet to get anything gold that reads in the nickel spot 12 to 13 conductive on my ETrac any gold has been like 3,6,8,18,19 so far. Nice going on the cameo frame care to post a picture of it ?

That's a lot of nickels! Congrats on the ring! That would be reading in the penny range on my detector.

Good amount of aluminum too, mine usually comes with a lot of real estate (dirt) in all the folded metal.
Once brought home a "pet" beetle!

Hi Msbeep, arrrrgh that reminds me of the can with the small little bitty ants in them, putting trash in the pouch does have consequences at times !!!! :censored:
