100_0612.JPG 100_0607.JPG 100_0610.JPG 100_0611.JPG 100_0609.JPG First dig at this old public school that closed in the late 80s . Was open from I believe around 1935-1989 . There were targets everywhere, if this has been dug before its only by someone cherry picking silver . There is enough things to dig here to keep me busy most of the summer on those days when I don't want to look for new permissions or just have time to swing for an hour as its about 15 min from my house . Todays totals include a 1946 Rosie , 1937 and 1927 Buffalo Nickel , Wheat pennies from 1916 , 1920 , 1926 ,1940 , 1941 and 1947 . For the clad count I ended the day with 58 Memorials , 10 Jeffersons , 29 Rosevelts , and 16 Washingtons . A nice sterling Forget me not pendant , kids sterling ring with turquoise and coral inlays , silver plated copper bracelet and a big heavy old solid copper bracelet . And my favorite jewelry of the day is a home made ring made from an old square nail . Some toys cars and trucks and my first motorcycle toy (its a Harley)8-) And a bunch of other odds and ends . That was a lot of digging for the day and I barely even scratched the surface . 100_0594.JPG 100_0595.JPG 100_0597.JPG 100_0598.JPG 100_0601.JPG 100_0603.JPG 100_0604.JPG 100_0606.JPG 100_0608.JPG

Hey looks like you have a horseshoe nail ring! Might be from Santa's Workshop North Pole NY near Wilmington. I remember going there as a kid, 45 years ago and the blacksmith shop would make those rings for the kids. I had mine for many years. I remember those little glass bottles too. They used to have medicine for farm animals and had a rubber stopper you could insert a needle though to draw the medicine out.

North Pole, NY home of Santa's Workshop

That would be very cool if it was a horseshoe nail ring from there .I remember going to a northpole spot in ny when I was a kid to , but I was very young so I don't remember much . I wonder if its the same spot

Tons of nice finds! Congrats!

I know what you mean by signals everywhere at a school! I have a hard time trying to find a metal free spot to ground balance my detector! Most of the metal is trash.

Glad you said that ......was wondering what the heck that thing was . Only thing I could come up with was a fly tying vice but I knew it wasn't that
