I have found civil war eagle buttons before R, C, and A. I finally found my first navy pre civil civil war button I'm so happy!
If only the shank wasn't broken off still happy bout the button! Count em all 13 stars lol

The funny thing is I live a couple miles from the naval academy (Annapolis) and the navy button has eluded me found plenty of riflemen, 1 artillery and 1 cavalry button and finally my first navy button I did some research it's off an officer coat as well
