Vodka Tag and some help with some Hallmark's....

Went back up to the community ctr./pool ground's up from the house today....Mind you the old center is from the 1800's and the pool is from the mid 1950's when this place was really hopping....found this "vodka" tag and half of a spoon with 5 hallmark's on it....tried to look up the tag and had no luck.....Hallmark's I really suck at....Cleaned the "utensil" up and found 2 more mark's on the front.....Any Idea's???? this one has got me lost....Thank's for looking and HH!!...And yes, that is my damage on the front of the tag.....just call me Nick Jr. :( ..

Hey Civilman,

No help on an ID here, but cool finds anyway. You've taken some really cool stuff out of that area, and if it was me, I'd keep at it. Go out there and get more good stuff, then post it so we can see.

Hi,

Its not silver, as it not a hallmark. Its a maker mark.

The front JH is the intials of the owner. Proberly added when brought as a gift for marriage or Birthday.

Hey Nick, I mean Civil! Just kidding. It's happened to the best of us my friend. I was hunting with a friend once and he dug a caped bust half dollar, i believe it was a 1808. He scratched it right across the bust with a deep gash. He was bummed. It was still an awesome coin. Nice finds by the way. I like the old vodka token. Tsgman

I absolutely positively adore your finds! Being curious ;D & always trying to learn about the items being found I did a search. Have you seen the following:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Wolfschmidts-Vo...oryZ3455QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

On the spoon . . wow :o !!! I really like it! Thought seeing it had a few "marks" it should be easy to identify . . but I get real lost & confused ??? after a bit. Still found some areas that might be of help to you or someone else:
http://www.silvercollection.it/englishsilvermarks3C.html
Scroll down & it will show you a variety silver collection hallmark

http://www.925-1000.com/
If you look up at the toolbar they have a section titled "Articles on Silver" from there is "Symbols of Alchemy" & with my very very very untrained eye the first & last mark kinda resembled one! ??? Acidum???? ??? I am sure I am incorrect :-[

I know I am probably wrong :-[ but I really think you have a "Fiddle" pattern there . . questions: you said you have half a spoon there, curious to how you know it was a spoon? also someone mentioned it is not silver . . then what "metal" do you think it may be?

The closest I think I may have gotten is :
http://www.geocities.com/RodeoDrive/6232/teaequip.html
Scroll down to "American Revolutionary War Era Silver Server" which I believe is the 12th section with picture

Bogart :D

P.S.
Footnote here: Please do note that I know absolutely very little but seemingly enjoy rambling!
