Quick hunt in the woods behind work. Lot's of stone walls. Was farmland at some point. My guess is early 1900s. Woods were free of modern trash :-) but lot's of shotgun shells, old iron, and lead. The only two interesting finds were a big musket ball and a small statue on St Joseph found by the base of a big tree. 4" deep. Looks pewter. Base says St Joseph. Under the base says Creed Co. Could not find anything on the Internet to date it. Please let me know if you have any information. Am starting to wonder if somebody buried the figurine on purpose. Maybe to protect the land or for a good harvest.

Nice find for sure, hope you find out more information on it ! :occasion14:

P.S. Did a search on the statues name etc and it seems people bury these to help sell a house or property, maybe related to that ?
