Coppers, Relics and Military!

Spent four hours on a new site and the targets were plentiful! Most of the finds were pretty toasted but I am quite happy with what I saved! The shoe buckle would have been spectacular when it was fully plated. The gold "S" got my blood pumping...thought it was gold! It's got a patent date in the back of July 19, 1881.

My find of the day is the military button. Haven't researched it yet but I'm sure someone (IP) will know what it is. Probably be a little better after some lemon juice.

Very nice day you had there! I like pocket knife - they're my favorite to find. And what a beautiful button. My favorite is the buckle however. That's a spectacular find!
