What a day, Mike and I hit the old stand by local beach which I pulled two gold yesterday. Today was to be more of a research and locate more Hot spots. And that I did, checking out far, deep, and from one end to the other. Was able to pull a couple nice ones as I pooked around. One thing, never try and clean a ring while in the water. As I was walking over to show mike I was rubbing the black stain and knocked off the small design on the 1940 class ring...dag...in the water...gone.
Also you can see I broke the back of the cameo ring messing with it.

Near the end of the Hunt I dug a little purse, or what was left of it. It had a Nice gold cameo ring and a few old coins. ..Shielded, Barber nickles, and a unknown..Not sure what the one coin is.. any idea's..looks to be silver. One Crazy day because I expected to find nothing...

Great day! I love cameo's, I would always buy one for my mother on her birthday(I swear she liked them). I have an 1868 Belgium coin exactly like the one you found, but the condition is more like the pictured one. I found mine in Mass. when I was kid about 36 years ago.

Wow, great finds and your clean up was spectacular!
Congrats, gold rings run to you!
I hit that spot, that river just might be a young mans game, big river rock and lots of mud. Closest thing I got to a coin was bottle caps. I'm very tired, still fun with a new guy who is almost hooked.

OBN... What A Great Hunt! Not only finding vintage Gold Rings but 150+ year old coins. It doesn't get much better than this for an afternoon on the beach. Take a second look @ your Shield Nickel.
They didn't mint an 1887 it could be an 1867 of which there were 3 varieties. If yours has shields then it could be worth a little somethin'

You found some great treasures today...Rich

WOW! That was a GREAT hunt man! Way to go! Not so good here tonight in our AO. Hunted 3 different beaches (2 ocean front 1 bay) over four hours and found almost nothing! lol The wind wasn't very kind today.
