I went to the lake today, took the boat back to treasure island, last time I was there I had my AT Pro and found a silver dime and quarter. There are allot less targets here then the other spot but I wanted to spend some time with the XP Deus to see what I could come up with. I was there about three hours.
Enjoy the pix

That's a pretty nicely detailed buff. Better than any of mine! If you're gonna only get one indian it's better in Chief condition! Lol.

That one is CLEAN! I've found a couple, and seen some dug by buddies, but you have to hold them in the light just right and squint one eye just to make out any details :laughing7: Congrats

Thanks guys, ha, the only thing I did as far as cleaning that buff was rubbing it with my fingers. The water does something to all the coins I found in that lake. I hope it doesn't do it to me, unless it helps preserve me, lol

Brad, your thread title reminded me of what this guy at work said the other day: " my girl friend finally got an old coin yesterday. She got a really nice buffalo penny". I said " you mean buffalo nickel." He said " no, it's a penny." " an Indian head penny?" " no, I am pretty sure it has a buffalo ".

Lets hope so. We can only dream and keep digging, hopefully the exercise will help keep me healthy?

Nice buff
Thanks

Here are a couple more pix of the buffalo, just wanted to post this. If you guys have been reading my threads a couple of you (buckle boy & huntsman) suggested I clean the silver differently. If you look close you might see how this has a bubbly look to it, the metal leeches out of these coins, they all are effected differently. Have you ever noticed how certain years come out of the ground looking differently. The clad from the 70's comes out redish, the 80's look like they are silver, the silver is grey. Even the nickels, the color when I first see it in my scoop, I can tell about what year it ranges from. Something about the nickelthe water enhances the details, they look good from afar, but if you look with a loop, it would grade the lowest grade possible. Just dumb/interesting to me, check out the pix.
