Loos like you did better than I did on my first hunt...I think my first two items were a crushed aluminum can and a rusty nail. It'll get better soon.

Your on the right track. I was always told you have to dig a thousand pull tabs before your first gold ring!

Hey finding the foil and pull tabs is not a bad thing, it means the detector is working and you maybe pulling up gold next, cause gold reads in that range. My detector reads the pull tabs as rings.

I kept up from the time I started metal detecting up until j found my first gold ring. I found 1,334 pull tabs before j struck gold! But mane as it worth it!!!
