Hey guys,

I recently found this coin in an area where I found an 1816 and a 1835 one cent piece. It was beyond corroded when I found it but got enough off of it to see this detail. At first, I didn't think it was anything but when I looked up Colonial Coppers, the image (or what's left of it) seemed to match the King George or the Connecticut Copper (Or maybe they're the same thing and I just don't know that). What do you guys think? Thanks.

Try taking a pencil rubbing of the reverse side. Sometimes more detail is revealed that way. I cant really make any of the lettering out with the naked eye. KG lettering would be B R I T A N.....N I A. The Connecticut copper lettering will be I N D E.....E T..L I B..... Or E T ..L I B..... I N D E, depending on the variety. Nice find either way. Congrats.
