    That Eagle is a great piece of history. And the Capped bust is sweet, Dont know if you know but it will have writing on the side (one hundred of a dollar ).

    Thanks for your kind words George. I heard the Liberty caps do have writing on the sides. I'll have to check it out a little closer HH

    I just put in my Banner Vote for the pistol Butt, but everything is really cool. The large cents 1808-1814 are seldom found.
    I read somewhere they were made of pure Swedish copper, so they didn't hold up well. Metal supplies ran out at the mint, so no Cent coins were made in 1815.

    Wow - that eagle butt cap is an incredible relic with a wonderful history to go with it. I recovered a butt cap at my colonial creekfront site a number of years ago, and it was confirmed as being part of a 1600s flintlock pistol. But mine is kind of a generic example, and I like yours much better for obvious reasons. Awesome find for sure!! And banner (my vote is in!).
