I was out in the woods a few days ago, and started to explore this old road. Sadly I didn't find anything good metal detecting along the road, but then off the side of the road was this big metal box. Upon further investigation, it turned out to be the container that goes on the back of a truck. It looked pretty old, and it said "Schlitz" on it, so it must have carried Schlitz at one time. I just had to see inside, so very carefully, I pulled open the door to see its final load still there. Just an air compressor and some old windows and junk. When I saw a bee fly into the compressor, I knew it was time to get out. Then down the road, off in the woods was what was left of an old Ford. I thought it was still pretty cool. Then on the ground under some leaves I found this "Custom" truck part. I had found one of these earlier and was thinking "yes! now I have a matching pair!" I get home to find out they're exactly the same! Overall it was an interesting trip.

Schlitz and Stroh's used to be big names. Not so much anymore, huh? Cool finds.

1949 or 1950 Ford. Distinctive front end "bullet" is the give away. As an old car guy, I like that a lot!

I usually carry a couple of tools with me. I probably would have tried to get the grill off
