A week ago last Wednesday I decided to screw around in a little park I had never been to. It was built in 1975, so I wasn't expecting any old silver so nickel tones were in season. After a couple hours digging clad I meandered my way to the outfield of the baseball diamond. I got another nickel tone, turned the plug, and saw a shiney clump dirt fall to the side. I knew it was a silver necklace where it layed. At first I thought it was broken, but after more dirt removal I saw that it just wasn't clasped. Happy Dance! My first silver necklace and finally first silver of the year.

Then later that week on Saturday, I got the chance to detect my brothers yard of the house he just bought. It's a St. Louis city house like almost hundred years old in south city. The yard to me about 4 hours to complete. My tally was a couple bucks in clad, my first silver coin of the year a 1950 Rosie, 1895 Indian head, 1910 v nickel, a dateless buff, a lunch token good for 5 cents, a religious pin, and a handful of wheats! I still need to clean them all much more. Best hunt I've had all season. I miss my old city lots :(

Then this last Monday, I was standing on my back patio, looking at the dirt ofcourse. And I found a four leaf clover. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1436121229.171671.jpg

And now to today's find. I stepped out my front door to have a smoke. Again I'm looking at the ground. Between my concrete and grass I tend to weedeat I little excessively, so there's like a 3 inch dirt gap between the grass and concrete. Right at the point the dirt meets the grass a saw the tiny bit of something shining in the sunlight. Thinking it was a poptop, I tried to pick it up but it wouldn't budge. I quickly realized it wasn't a pop top as soon I touched it. It felt good ;). My first thought was ear ring, then pulled it free from the roots, and bam! Silver ring. Since I didn't find it detecting I don't count it towards my detecting finds. It fits my wife perfectly so I had no hard feeling relinquishing my new found treasure found five from my front door. Oh and one more! Yesterday at a Fourth of July party I was asked to bring my detector to find a could crossbow arrows my nephew lost about 4 months ago. After five minutes in a grass field I found the both! My first time helping someone recover lost items.

Good score on those silver finds....fairly small chain are not the easiest to find.

Haha looks just like my first silver necklace! Found it last year (or was it the year before?) in a local park. I'm actually wearing it right now! :laughing9:
