no written history :dontknow: But I'm Guessing just a running track
before a football Field,
as I never heard of a horse track (driving Park) in the area

but I wouldn't Rule out Driving Park though.

a couple years ago a township worker (roadmaster) told me rumor is it was
the Dump before it became the park. & there is allot of foot deep rotted tin.
