They can't all be winners Jeff, but at least u got out. In NJ that change will get u a half gallon of gas. Anyway, nice work with the aerials and mapping. It just goes to show that even when things look good "on paper" it still may not produce on the ground.

Cheers bud

Good research. That's one thing I need to do more of when I post is show my surroundings.

I recall you posting the other day something along the lines of "you'll go crazy if you don't get out soon". At least I think it was you. So I'd call that a win. 4 gallons of water and you got your swing on!

Happy hunting!

-Jay

Congrats on getting back out there, that's a win in itself. :headbang: I like the aerials. Did you get out in the trees by chance? I love old football fields. Better luck next time. I bet there are some keepers in the ground there just screaming for you to rescue them.

Thanks ! No the trees are outside the Arena/fencing and belong to someone else.
I'm sure they could be worthwhile certain times of the year.
the 30's aerial suggests there was allot of Traffic all over there

Yea gas is $2.79 at the lowest around here,
unless you have a Grocery store Gas bonus card.
so not quite a Half Gallon here.

My car probably guzzeled 4 to 5 Gallon today

Nice finds Jeff! Neat reflector.
It's good your getting out there and collecting the clad. The silver probably didn't want to come out of the cool ground.

We all going to have to prepare for summer sun hunting, I had to go back to the truck and get my water...which was warm. I'll have to start bringing the cooler full of ice, and a cold pack for my neck, but it's still nicer than winter!

You always take great landscape shots. They probably moved the goodies around re landscaping the spot, and you'll find them later in odd places.

At least you got out--I spent the day "weed whacking" my backyard which seems to have become overgrown with weeds....spent hours with that thing which was about 3x heavier than my Explorer :BangHead:

Clifton is not far from me, Mr. Scappy, and one or two others that post here--never found one of those reflectors. Gas here's about $2.55 at the moment--not too bad, thought it was gonna drop below $2 for a while--would have been nice. Bit odd your friend left without a goodbye. I met up with Fredbug67 a couple days ago as we are quite local (and another local newbie detectorist who was I believe on her "maiden" outing)--Fred's a good guy and we had a fun hunt under less than stellar conditions (construction).
