I just wanted to go for a short , local walk today so I went to an old standby but there was some event going on. So,
on to backup site.

Now this place reeks of possibility but I have hunted it rather extensively over the years. I've crossed this place, frontways
and back, up one side and down the other, crisscrossed and gridded. I think I even hunted this place upside down one time. ;)

I just love the place and it was close by. :dontknow:

Anyhoo, 2nd hit :

Maybe the rain helped? :dontknow:

Didn't get much else, but who cares!? :)

Fishy says, "IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR!" LOL

With an extra spare tire even! ;)

Doesn't get much better.

Thanks for peeking.

Don't you just love it when you score consecutive good keepers right off the bat! It doesn't happen often enough but when it happens its always a great day! When your hot your hot! :blob8::blob8:Nice digs! :headbang:

Sometimes things happen for a reason. There have been many a time I left the house with one location in mind and yet you get a gut feeling and hunt a different site. Sure is nice when you start pulling keepers, especially if they are in the 1st 4 plugs. Congrats on those keepers. and the nice hunt.

Nice looking silver Rosie there! It's a great day when everybody is happy! Some wheats, and a token, nice!
You must have special ordered the "red" car just for Fishy!

Could be the worms were moving stuff up to higher ground after the rain, and you found it.

Nice finds Gary.

Just found two mercs at the elementary school in Timonium that we both hunted on separate recent occasions.

A 1936 and a 1943... within feet of one another.

I'm a little puzzled given the age of the school.

Nice to see you bagging a merc.

Some place always seem to have something good left, if you work for it. Good job!

Kinda funny about finding these cars. They usually give a very loud, decent signal. (close to a buried can). But, before I started hunting, I would never had thought that these things could get buried. I figured they just stayed on the surface and rotted away. This was down a good couple of inches.

Whether it's worms, rains, or whatever. I'm glad He still moves me around to whatever I'm supposed to find that day. I planned on the first site, HE had other ideas, of course, better ones. :)

Thanks!

He moves you to the spots where the worms have been hauling the goodies closer to the surface, so you can find them.
My last few hunts have not been at my first choice in places, I just go with it, so far so good!

Usually the signals from toy cars bounce around in the coin range on my detector, but then so does siding! Lol!
Depending on the size of the toy car or if a can is whole, crushed, or in pieces the signal is slightly different, so far.

We would be amazed at what makes it down to the hard pack layer. But that would require a back hoe!

Great looking merc you got there. For some reason , I never find them. I've dug up 6 cars before. On pro mode, they sound almost like a horseshoe or a big piece of iron. Awesome hunt, love that token:occasion14:

Yeah, the cracker jack token certainly is nostalgic and brings up many memories. :)

The cars usually give me an almost big silver hit. Around 90. Usually a can but every now and then, I just gotta check for a treasure chest. ;) LOL

The dime gave me a regular 81-83 hit but it had to be picked out from between several trash hits. If you never hit them, you might consider the spots you're hunting.
Location, location, etc. ;)
