This was found at the site of an old park that was in Nashville and trolley cars would come from downtown neighborhoods to " the country" where there was fresh air and cisterns with good water. Anyone have any idea what this could be? It says 20 cents( the cent mark slash through is very long as you can see) and the back is unrecognizable. It also has B & B on the bottom of the token. I know there was a saloon on the property so I wonder if this could be for a game of billiards perhaps?

CG--You are probably correct in what you theorize the use was. It may have been for a drink at the saloon also, however 20¢ is a rather odd denomination for that. It is not listed in Copeland's Trade Tokens of Tennessee book, but that is not too surprising to me. Finding out who B & B were and where they were is going to be a challenge - do you know any more about the saloon on the site?

Actually it was a casino at the site and not necessarily a saloon. Wonder if it could have been for some type of game? Here's an artist rendition of the casino. Thanks for all the nice comments. Good to see you Quindy!

Cool token. Here is a good online source for tokens. TokenCatalog.com
I didn't have the patience to browse through all 140 pages of TN tokens.
Maybe its in there, if not, maybe your next one will be.
