After messing around in the yard today and finding the quick merc, we made a trip to our Indian property. Only one Indian today a 1896. That makes 31 Indians in 5 hunts from this yard.
My only decent finds from here today were 3 wheats, a lead seal and 2 more mercs. My first merc made for my oldest merc to date, a 1917. That didn't last long though, about an hour later I found a 1916 merc.
The boy found 3 wheats and a silver, a Sweet 1914 barber. And yes the kid was using the CTX when he found the barber. Lol
After today's hunt our silver count here is 13 and my own silver count for the year not counting the 43 Washington from the yard is at 50.

The 1935-S merc, and half cent in the last pic the kid found when he snuck out with my new CTX while I was at work, I wasn't happy. The Indian Head he found while with me on a short hunt also using the CTX.

The kid has the fever, Dad? Better than sneaking off with something involving a lighter or a corkscrew?

In 35 years detecting I think that's one of the nicest Barber dimes I've ever seen come out of the ground. Nice going!

Has nothing to do with it. I've met many, many "kids" who "thought" they were grown up.

Excellent finds ! Lovely Barber!

Oh, I understand all that. Didn't want anyone thinking I was talking about a 14 old or something.

I'm kicking his butt with silver finds unlike last year when he blew me away. He was just trying to gain some ground. Lol

That Barber is the prettiest one I have ever seen. I kept looking at it trying to figure out why it looked so different from others. Has to be the detail!
