TIM THAT TRUCK IS A HECK OF A FIND . DANG I WOULD BE PROUND TO HAVE FOUND IT. I THINK IT MAYBE A 1940 ISH MARMON TRUCK NOT POSITIVE THOUGH MAN THAT IS AWESOME , I DONT NO IF I WOULD CLEAN IT OR HAVE IT REDONE. MAKES A NICE SHOW CASE AND CONVERSATION PEICE . COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL!!!!! I THINK ITS A STUDEBAKER.
I havan't found a tootsie for a bit now, just the more modern ones. That one would make a nice winter project. As Sutphin said, make it a centerpiece. Does anyone know if you can get axles and tires to fit them?
That is a GREAT find.
That is the Tootsietoy jumbo pick up truck.
It first came out in 1942, but something about the wheels makes me think more 1950's. If you cleaned the wheels up, and see that there is a metal wheel with a separate rubber tire around it, then it is 1942-1946. If it's a solid plastic or rubber wheel, I'd say early 1950's.
Just look up "Tootsietoy jumbo pick up truck" on Ebay, and you'll find it.
So if you can, try cleaning up the wheels , and post some pics of them, and the underside of the truck too.
