A bawdy silver ring in a coin spill, and my first silver coin too.

Today was beautiful for being outside, and I had another fun day with my detector. I walked up the street to the playing field and quickly found a small coin spill of clad coins, and in the same hole a bawdy silver ring! What fun, every time I thought I was done with the hole, it would keep ringing... I detected for several hours and found a bottle opener, a watch, keys, and the last find of the day was a 1949 quarter, my first silver coin find, which I found in my yard on the way home. I'm happy about that, and hope it's a good luck charm for future detecting finds, lol. All in all, a very enjoyable day. You guys warned me that metal detecting is addictive, well, you weren't kidding!

Congrats on your first silver coin! I got my first ever in my own yard too, never bypass your own yard! Is the ring marked sterling or .925? If so, congrats on a double silver day.

It's marked 925. It's very large, definitely was worn by a man, or more likely, a big sized teenage boy.
