Who said lost time can't be found

What started out as a solo hunt. Turned out to be a great group hunt. While I was waiting for Gklug to show up I found an 1896 V nickel. After we jumped around a bit and a couple wheaties and Gregs gold ring later. We decided to hit the shoreline where I found an old Luna Park token probably from when Scranton had a Luna Park, a 1945 s War Nickel and some bullets. Then we went up on the cliffs where I got a solid 92 thinking silver half. Instead it was an awesome 1940's Aristo Swiss made pocket watch. Opened it up to find it was still in amazing condition. The clay marble was just laying on the surface.

Good looking finds Will. Oldest V I have gotten is 1899 so far. Any old nickel makes a good hunt!

5 OD Nickels this year alone in NEPA you say? Oh don't play nice Chris loves it when OD digs all the pull tabs looking hard for his first.

Great finds!!

An OD nickel is always a good find, I've got 3 for the year myself. I've got a couple V-nickels too but, none made the 1800's.
Gotta say all I ever find of old watches is the outer case, so I'd say another good find with the watch.

You had a great hunt! It's amazing that the watch survived in that kind of condition.

It's a Luna Park token. For me it is actually a killer find, because it has local significance to the Luna Park here in Scranton, Pa. It was closed to fire at the turn of the 1900's. Besides Rocky Glen Park (closed as well) . It was one of the greatest parks in its time. Besides photos. I think there are very little items that can relate to it.
