Saturday was a good day of hunting. Started the day at a 1950s medical plaza(still in use) with several grassy areas. The first dig was the gold filling. On the AT-Pro, it was registering 50-55, bouncing around, and I thought for sure it was a pull tab or nickel. Of course, I was hoping it was gold and out popped the gold filling; I admit it, I got lucky. I found the 1937 wheatie about 15 minutes later.
About an hour later, I went to a little used SMALL city park. After about 1/2 hour of hunting the AT-Pro struck upon a solid 88. I was hoping it was a silver Washington(and not scrap metal) and to my amazement out popped the 1902 Barber Quarter--my first(and probably my last) Barber Quarter. It was located only about 3 feet away from a concrete bike path. 7up

Congrats on the Barber! I bet that park has alot of hidden goodies! And Im sure you will find many more. My first silver ever was a Walker and I told myself I would probally never find another one...Since then I have found 6 total just in walkers and a Franklin..Dont sell yourself short..that stuff is out there still

Very well done. That quarter appears to have some nice detail on it. That gold crown is KILLER! Just think, at some point that thing was chewing someone's food, and kissing their old lady and then... Oops... where did my toof go to....

Congrats on the nice finds!

Looks like you caught the wheatie with a tool....GOOD JOB! You didn't hit the barber or the gold, instead.

I've got a 37 wheatie or two or twenty, but no barber quarters and no gold crowns...both on my wish list, for sure.

Grats to ya , thanks for sharing, and HH ALL.

Gold and silver on one hunt, Awesome!!

My only gold found I was hoping for a silver and gold day. A little later after finding my gold ring I found a 1901 barber dime.

neat, cool, super-- words can only try to convey what the eyes see after the plug gets popped. hope no doghouses were damaged during the hunt:-). dental gold is generally around 17K. only way I can ever find a Barber quarter is at a barber shop (pun intended). lots of B dimes & Barber "V" nics.-----not one stinkin' quarter:-(
