Went back to my colonial-field-turned-parking-lot today. I asked a bunch of pals today for a last minute hunt, but nobody bit. So I instead went home. Along the way decided last minute to stop at this spot that produced a 1806 KG3 and an 1813 LC a few months ago.

I still haven't hit colonial here but let me know what you think of this button. I think it's close but no cigar.

When you can read " Liberty " on an LC, there's nothing to complain about. I would think the button is from the first quarter of the 1800's to the time of the LC ( like George said ).

Oh, you must not remember us talking on the phone this morning! You had to go before I could ask. I cried all morning. Then I asked Chris, a few other friends, and even Dave. Lol.

Plan B is a block from my house. I pulled in my driveway and pulled back out. I was planning on a nap before those noisy kids got home but it seems I made the right choice.

Thx OD. The 1813 LC and KG I've pulled from here before were absolutely toasted, so I'm very happy with this one!

Good looking LC! Sadly unless my feilds get turned this year it might be first year in a while with out finding one, anything pre civil war is a tough find in my area. Also want to add, thanks for mentioning the banner word on that prehistoric spear point or knife I found the other day. :icon_thumleft:

Nice Hunt . Id be happy with that early large cent and that button. Large cents are hard to come by in these parts.
Good friends/huntin buddys are hard to come by these days.
I took off from work and drove 1.5hrs this morning to get stood up, fortunately I knew the site location and had a pretty good day.

Thx, and you have an LC coming soon.

I know spear points are common, but yours was large and in great shape. I think your point would look great up on the banner page.

I will definitely call on you next button I find. In trying to get colonial here since the farm apparently dates to the 1770's, but the land has been developed and disturbed. Best so far is that button and the 1806 coin.

Thanks again for the info!
