I found this at a site that is supposed to be a "confederate gun nest" up on a hill in the middle of the woods. can anyone help me identify it? 20150827_210835_Richtone(HDR)[1].jpg 20150827_210852_Richtone(HDR)[1].jpg 20150827_210835_Richtone(HDR)[2].jpg

US Army Great Seal General Service button. Pre WW1 to WW2 generally. But the fact that yours says American Button Company (company is spelled out rather than just "CO" I assume?) then we are more looking at 1902-1920 time frame. Nice button!

Well not quite the Civil War, (War of Northern Aggression),, but definitely in the First World War Time Frame.
Nice save

Very nice military button. Those seem to be popping up a lot this year, & I dug one myself a few weeks back.

That's even better squash the "Co" makes it definitely 1902-1920 so you gotta pre WWI through WWI button. Nice work.

Thats a good start with a WWI, now you can aim older.....
