I would take a look on Ancestry.com and do advanced search for the marriage date, town, ect. You may also narrow down with the initials.

Married in 1919? Wow. It would be cool to find the rightful owner's heirs. The suggestions given so far are a great start. Good luck!

Back in 1919 that was a pretty substantial piece and to have it engraved also came a cost. It would be a pretty cool if you could track down the family, good luck.

I’ve used about all modern ones but right now: CTX 3030, White’s MXT Pro, XP Deus, Vaquero, White’s TRX

I agree. That old you mostly only find brass rings. Considering that the folks married in 1919, the children may be 80-90 years old if they are still alive. You may have to give it to the great grandchildren. I would start locally and even look at data on the property and close houses first to come up with an owner. Keep us posted on what you come up with.

Oh, consider the fact it could have been a WW1 veteran cause it was the last year of the war. That may be a good start, look at names of WW1 veterans from that town with the same initials.

There are numerous older churches that are still around or have merged their parishes over the years. They keep written records and would probably be tickled pink to help you track down the original owner.
The Initials and the Date will definitely narrow and expedite the search.
Welcome to Tnet

Welcome to Tnet and kudos for setting such a great example in attempting the return. There are several here who are excellent as finding folks based on a location and timeframe. If the groom was a WW I veteran, Mackaydon is excellent with the military research. Plymouthian has returned more rings than anyone I know (and also found more!) and many other excellent members here have returned many items too. This part of the journey is the exciting part. Good luck with it and I'm sure many here will offer to help you track down the family. My late father was born in 1913 so you may be able to find a child of the couple to return it to. Looking forward to hearing your progress on this one!
