Stopped at a site I had my eye on for a while, was never able to get in touch with anyone. Today I'm driving pass and see someone coming out of the place. Well made a u turn and stopped them, before they got in the car..lol
They were in a hurry, so they said go ahead, and thats all I needed.
This place is incredibly with lots of history all around.
I got my gear on, ground balanced and with in 10 min I had 2 half cents.
I thought the first was a quarter because it was so shallow till I wiped it and said oh ya, thats in great shape, put it in the container and went right back to it. Right next to it I get another hit just like that. Dug down and Bam! Another one. Ya baby. Right after that the skies open up and started to pour.
I wrapped up, can't wait to get back.
Thanks for looking.
George

As always, job well done. That 1834 is incredible! Next time you post you have to show a picture of the trash you dig as well. Pretty soon these people are going to think your pinpointer is a magic wand.

George... You old dog, you've done it again.
Very nice. I made a short hunt last night and pulled 2 barber dimes with "O" mintmark from the same hole.
Was riding a nice high until I saw your post.
Your 2 half-pennies grounded me.
Very nice details on that 1834.

SOOOOOOO THAT'S WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE? I would give Tom's left testicle to find an old copper with that much detail! And I am SO jealous of what you're going to find at that site after the rain stops.
