The high winds the last few days have been beating up the beaches here a bit, more expected tonight as well as the storm continues on by the east coast. I was able to get out to the bay for one spin when the winds were really kicking and even though there wasn't much that wasn't underwater, even at "low" tide, what beach could be hunted was pretty much seeded with tgts. I have no Idea how many holes I actually dug (including the "ghost" signals) but it was alot.....I was pretty well used up afterward. Best of it that night was a nice little 925 silver ring with, small but, real ice, a wheat penny, a junker pendant and $7.59 in clad.

After a re-charge I sallied forth again today and hit some spots at the oceanfront. Lots of sand pushed up on the beach but along with that sand were enough targets to keep me busy for a few hours and long enough to find gold ring #16! I was using the CTX and it rang up more like a nickel, which was what I was pretty sure it was until I saw it in the bottom of the Stealth Scoop, nice little plain 14K band at 2.8 grams. $2.07 in clad, a 1951 wheatie and a pin with the letters "PNRS" on it rounded out the best of it The PNRS pin looks like a lapel pin you might see a police officer or fire fighter (or any job in a uniform for that matter) wear but I have no idea what this one is from. Anyone have any idea? Something, Something Rail Service? Just guessing....
Found a few ordnance related items and what I think were fuze well plugs for artillery rounds (or some other type of projectile). Copper/Brass and pretty heavy. Good luck to all of the rest of you and hope the storms and weather don't cause any damage to you and yours and that they just kick out the good stuff!

(10/4/15) Went out again this morning to the Bay. Plenty of clad and 3 rings (2 junk 1 silver) and Emma scored a turtle in the back yard. (Took it away from her and relocated it, don't want the lab getting salmonella!)
