Got out for a few hours to hunt a section of woods that is rumored to have been inhabited by the Continental Army as they travelled from the battle of Germantown, to their winter encampment at Valley Forge. I began my hunt by digging about ten straight shotgun shells. I then got a 12-38 at about 8 inches on the Etrac. I proceeded to dig a total of 13 round balls in a ten foot diameter! I am assuming they were dropped due to their condition. They are not all the same caliber. My day concluded my digging a Georgian shoe buckle (thank you Vino for the identification, he puts it in the mid 1700s). Lastly, I pulled a nice tombac button from the same era. Now the moment you have all been waiting for... a picture of my balls!
