I just completed my 5th trip to the hot spot and I'm still digging a lot of coins. Total coins today were 217! This brings me to a little over 700 coins from this place! My first good hit for today was a 1904 Indian Head Penny! It was right on the surface, it had only 3 inches of light fluffy dirt over it. Working this area kind of reminds me of the lunar surface, it's mainly just a powder. Second good hit was another Indian Head Penny ! This one was a 1907! Today I dug up 18 wheat pennies with only one silver coin. But I did get a silver pendant. The construction crews here are still moving around the dirt exposing new areas, so this place should keep me busy for at least another week.

Really excellent hunt.
The unidentified item might be a skate key?

Kind if big for a skate key? Here is some better pics. Key for a grandfather clock? Lamp? Any ideas...?

I agree that brass piece might have been used as a spigot on a wine barrel, considering where you are located.
That's an awesome site you are on! It is so much fun when you keep getting hit after hit. Just think how many coins and relics get paved and built over every day- you're doing a great job saving some.

Man you found a great site. 217 coins to date and the place is still producing. Love the post, pics. Too bad it's a 2 hr round trip, but well worth it.
