Best day out detecting this year!

These are the finds from the hunt I went on prior to going out with my kids this past Sunday. My Son had asked me to help find a friends necklace she had lost during recess this past week. We were successful and he returned it to her this week. I also decided to let my 6 year old daughter go out detecting for the first time. After a brief tutorial about "painting the ground" with the coil her first signal was a shiny 2015 penny! She was totally excited and hopping around with joy in finding the penny. However 10 minutes later, her second signal, turned out to be a silver ring! Safe to say there are now dolphins that know my Daughter found a siver ring.

This hunt was a return visit to the "jewelry park" from last year. I hit some areas I had not detected much and had some fantastic results. One cool thing was finding the Flying Eagle cent, walking 10 feet, and recovering the fatty indian!!! Also, the 1873 semi key date IH is in unbelievable condition!!

I had been thinking to myself on my way home, nothing is going to top this day, fast forward an hour later and the look on my daughters face eclipsed that thought from my mind. Enjoy!

Great finds- Greater story!! I hunt with my son and grandson and still remember their faces when they found their first silver or wheat- priceless!! As far as your coins, that 1873 Indian is as fine an Indian as I have ever seen posted anywhere- congrats!! Hope you have countless more fun and memories hunting with your daughter. Best of luck!

Congrats on having a very memorable hunt with a great partner. That flying eagle a bucket lister for ma ae well as any coin from the 1700s. The 1873 IHP has great detail. How did you clean it?
