Hi there....I was out in an old park and found this Silver chain..It is heavy and thick.Says Italy on it and I think 925.The clasp looks broken.
On my second sweep I got a high 78+ and was like well it's either silver coin or a ring in most cases with me.So I swiped over it few times and it was a longer length then what I thought.Figure it wasn't a coin or ring at that point. So I checked the depth and believe it or not it was 8 inches.I was like hmmmm some thing that deep has to be old.I know this old park was never maintained and can't say I ever seen any dirt turned here.

So I begin my plug cutting a 24 inch circle and popped the plug.So I use my detector and swiped the plug no signal,I swiped back over the hole and same strong 78+ ...At this point I pull out my hand held pin pointer and started poking around and bam I get the beep,so with my fingers I started to move some earth and I see the clasp end sticking out...I was like nice a chain. At this point still not sure what kind or what size, I then go to pull on it and wasn't coming out as easy as I thought so had to dig more of the earth out around it and boy when I started to pull again the links were so big and thick and the length was 24 inches long.I was like woooohooo what a nice chain. Then I said to my self let me get it home and let is soak in warm water to clean some of it up before I get too excited to make sure it was real silver or even white gold didnt know at that point...Sure enough silver...So what a 30 minute hunt.Love the hobby can't get enough.Just be better to find one close to me and hunt as a team makes it that much more fun..But i still have fun by my self..
