I had posted earlier of my 1909 wheatie but was unable to take a better picture as well as look for the initials. I was able to make out part of the D and the B!
I did find some other goodies while at the new permission: a '45 wheatie, '36 buffalo nickel, some clad, an old door lock cover and, maybe with a little help from you guys, some sort of small button maybe?? Thank god for pinpointers!!!
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

excellent VDB. I found one of those American Legion pins way back when I was a kid and first got into detecting. Not sure if they are a tie tac or a lapel pin

Nice job Frogginfish, that's a clean 1909 VDB you've found. So often corrosion will take away those little initials, and yours is very clear. Do you have any idea of the age of your door lock cover? I found a similar one, and am trying to determine its age.

Congrats on that sweet VDB. :occasion14: It remains on my bucket list.
