Got out the other day with PA SLUETH, was at a rev war camp, found like 20 musket balls and a few buttons, but no USA, or regement I was hoping for..
Today had to stop at a old spot of my on the way home hunt..lol
This place has been pounded and pounded by me and others tnet guys for the last 2years.
My plan today was just dig low tones and swing really really slow!
Well I dug this seated that came in as a low tone. There was alot of junk in the hole with it. Im sure you know I was surprised as hell..
Also dug a Flying eagle cent that came in way below nickle. That was a shocker also.
My favorite find is this buckle, I believe its a suspender buckle???
First one like it..
Thanks for looking.
George

With those musket balls coming out of a Rev War camp, the buttons can't be far behind. The buckle does look like a suspender clip, but that's an unusual design I have never seen before.

The New Orleans mint mark makes it all the sweeter find. Congrats

Thanks Steve,
I was sure hoping for my first rev war button. But like I said, its going to have to wait, after digging a tic out of my back. Will wait till after the frost to go back.
And the buckle is something ive never seen before also. Very different.
