Hi all, went out this morning for a couple of hours on my deep pasture permission. I was using the XP adx250 again ( still getting used to it!)

There was not too many interesting finds really but I did get a lovely old vintage car grille badge.

I would love and id of which model it is from, obviously it's from an old riley but which one ?

I made a video of finding it which you can watch by clicking below

Hmmm....never even heard of a Riley. I would imagine someone restoring one might pay some bucks for that one.

That's a really cool old find. I would bet its from the 20s or so

Looks like its stainless steel as opposed to chrome-plated brass. That may help date the badge to the 1930's or so. (Just a guess)

There is a Riley Motor Club in the UK that would provide the model (s) and year of manufacture.

Also might check with BMW who now owns the marque name and patents...

I know that there was a Riley Tourer in the late 30's to early 40's that looked similar to the MGTA - MGTC models...

Very nice older car badge. I found one a few years back that was from a "Hudson".

Thanks for the comments everyone! I think it has been id now as a grille badge from a Riley Austin from the 1930's I'm very happy with it :)
