My first Barber coin (dime), recovered on Saturday. Clean 82 on my AT Pro, immediately followed by a 1917-P Buffalo (live dig here: https://streamable.com/nlb3) and when I re-checked the site the next day, I picked up a faint signal underneath a log right next to where they were that turned out to be a 1918-P wheat. In addition to my first Barber, the Buffalo is my earliest with a readable date. Very nice detail on the wheat (see pic) so I'm guessing the spill was close to 1918.

This is the same site where I found 4 Draped Bust LC's in a spill last year and I've visited this site often since then with no other noteworthy finds until these. Thanks for looking!

Congrats on pulling those keepers. :occasion14: Seems like that site has plenty more treasures, you'll just have to work for it.

Congrats on your first Barber. It's always nice to pull a first of anything and check it off the bucket list. I've checked at least 6 things off my bucket list in the last 2 years including a 2 real, 1 real, capped bust half cent, 3 cent silver, seated half dollar, seated half dime, Vermont landscape copper and I don't know how, but almost forget, a gold coin. Nice finding the first of anything. Way to go!

Love the coins and I am really stoked about being able to read date on buffalo. Congrats and many more hunts to come.

I was really happy to get a Buffalo with an early, clear date (my last two had been dateless). Most times when I check out this site I leave empty handed, but it's yielded an early 1800s spill and an early 1900s spill.
