Two old coins in my tumbler , one a Semi Key Date !

I finished my coin tumbling today and had a surprise ! These are the clad coins from Sundays hunt . I never tumble old coins but this one I didn't know I had in the bunch . The first is just a 1959 D penny , the 2nd one is a 1921S ! I know it's just a semi key date but it's the first one I have ever found in 18 years of detecting . I thought I would share it .

It happens,, I missed a few silver coins over the years. Always check the coin return on the Coin Star,, lol

I tumbled my very first silver quarter because it wasn't shiny like everyone here on the forum kept saying silver would be lol. I don't know about you, but I learn more from my mistakes than any other way.

are you dry-tumbling (?) - I heard if you dry tumble coins with say - nut shells or cracked corn or something - the results are real good.....

Water , soap and the tiny rocks you put in a fish tank . It works great ! Try 12 - 24 hours .

I've tried everything, toothpicks, boiling peroxide, olive oil, mineral oil, and sometimes combinations of the listed techniques. But those pennies look amazing.

Harbor Freight has an affordable one that works just fine
