Look what I found on the curb next to a house demolition, two treasure chests! In reality they are the personal footlockers of a WWII soldier named Lieutenant Frederick B. Gould. I was surprised when I opened one to actually find some of the Lieutenant's stuff still inside...

The first chest to open:

Treasures inside?? :o

Maybe a belt to a pair of pants?

Was sure this would contain Fred's secret map to his war loot (always in the back of my mind), ended up just being his diplomas and other certificates:

Leather straps of some kind:

Some sort of leather thing:

Looks like the locker reached its destination on May 27th 1944:

Apparently Fred had 2 pairs of pink pants in here once, maybe his mom mixed the reds with the whites that day:

The two footlockers, both with matching names:

Undoubtedly besides the lockers themselves the white belt is my favorite find from this haul... :D

Awesome curb finds. Those were made way better than the ones I used in the 70's. Those 2 will hold on heck of a lot of relics/artifacts and other cool finds. treasure is where you find it.

Great finds! The belt buckle resembles a life preserver ring found on boats. The straps may be rifle sling or shoulder straps for a holster rig. The black leather thing appears to be an ankle supporter. Congrats! Sub 8-)

I hope that you find the owner of his family members who deserve these items. Good luck.
