Short park hunts, a gold tooth

Hello to you all!

I stopped the last two days on the way home from work for an hour each day, 2 hours, and hunted four different small park's woodchip play areas. It was slim pickins but that's the breaks I guess, I am still glad to be out there, expecially since we have rain forecasted for the next 5 days. Love swinging the detector!

My best find was a silver unicorn charm that may be sterling? It has a "S" inside a circle hallmark? My most unusual find was a small gold tooth. Found that under the swings so someone must have got kicked in the chops.

Other than that, a Mexican 50 C coin, $2.75 in clad and 51 coins.

I hope you all had better luck, go get em, show us the money!

Thanks for reading. Here's a couple shots of my finds from my 2 hours hunt time.

Smiles!

Hey BDoo, glad to see you don't alway find rings. I like the dragonfly. Gotta take the slim pickins with the good ones I guess. I don't know how you find time to go at all with all the hours you work and having two kids to take care of. Keep up the good work.

Got to feed our addiction huh Bob.
We make time for the things we want to do,
things we don't... seems harder to find time to do them...lol.

Thanks a lot for all the great comments buddy!

Nice Unicorn. But I prefer your Gold find but Silver is close behind on my list.

The tooth I found was hiding in the swing-set zone too. Thanks for shearing.

The unicorn is kind of cool huh Ant.
I'll take anything that pops out, in the pouch it goes.

dentists buy those gold teeth for a few bucks
then charge us 1000s in mark up

A work of art I guess huh edd,
and if they happen to pull one for someone,
how much does the person get back...
not enough to,pay the fee for pulling it I'd bet.

lol, thanks for the read man! Good luck out there buddy!
Get some Morgans to share with us!!!

Congrats on the gold! You are turning into a gold magnet, but gold isn't magnetic, LOL? HH, Mike

lol, my trusty old detector just loves gold and silver,
it is a jewelry magnet of sorts.
That reminds me, I have several little round magnets
that have stuck on my digging knife over the years.
I just leave em on there and they stay, stuck to the steel
piece between the blade and handle. Little hitch hikers.
One of those mystery signals that disappear...
then you notice a magnet has jumped out of the hole
and is stuke to the knife...lol

Thanks for the shout my friend!

Very productive for a couple hours. Pile of coin and dental work too!!!!!
I'm starting to get a lot of "charms" from the wood chips too...

Hi Rudy!

A lot of the "charms" are tennis shoe fobs...
they are very popular with the little girls.
Sketchers shoes have them and many other brands
catering to the youngsters. I think I found 12 the other day.

Thank you for the read and comment!!

Great finds. Glad to know that some of your parks/schools produce like mine. ;)

The gold tooth is cool. Didn't someone else find one this year? Remember reading about it when I first started Tnet. Hopefully not the same area/person. :)

I know you will have much better haul next time.

HH.

Hi Sheldius, thank you!!!
hey, I'll take whatever is there for me,
it is just good to be out there having fun
and getting a chance to find something really nice,
you definitely won;t find it if you don't try huh. :D

Sounds like you hunt in a TOUGH park. That might be a valuable piece of forensic evidence. The man might be interested in that. Cool though. ;)

Along with the fired 38 cal round found recently,
and the knifes...lol
Thanks for the nice comment RW!!
Best of luck to you in all your searches!
