Took 1/2 day off work today, and hit the old farm spot. It was hot here in NC, but I was able to detect under the shade of some huge oak trees. Found a bunch of off the wall things in areas I've detected before. Here is today's finds:

*HALF of a 3-ring CW era bullet. Looks like it was cut in half?

*Four wheats : 1933 , 2 x 1945 , 1950D.

*My 1st thimble.

*A round decorative copper piece about the size of a silver dollar.

*A 1966 foreign coin (15mm). Says "1 Penni - Suomen Tasavalta" (at least that's what I think it reads)
Any idea what country this is from?

*A large "HYVIS Motor Oils" token. This sucker is heavy and about 1 1/4" round. I don't know how I missed this before? ??? Neat token.

*A 14mm old coat (?) button.

*A 19mm CW era (?) brass button. I can't make out the lettering on the back. Sorry.

Well, that's it for today.
Ridley & I will be making a trip up to the NC mountains tomorrow to MD by the New River.
He's nice enough to volunteer to help me trim weeds on a lot I bought up there. What a great guy! ;D

Hope everyone has a great w/end & be safe.

Dude. The farm is good. :) You take some nice pics too. ;D Good variety of finds.

Sweatin? Me too. Even up North.

When you coming up for some walleye fishing? In a couple weeks you can get steelhead with those walleye. ;D ;D ;D

I was detecting with the Tejon today. That thing likes the old iron.

Thanks Bob.
Yeah, the farm has been good to me. I can't believe the stuff I missed over the months of searching just the areas around the house. I can't imagine what is on the other 190 acres? ;D
I bring a tick or two home with me everytime I hit it, but it's worth it. :o
As far as fishing for Walleye, I'm planning a trip to Northern Wisconsin this summer for me and my son. Boulder Junction to be exact. Musky capital of the world. I've been going up there since I was a kid. My Dad used to take us kids up there back in the 60's & 70's. The place has been there since 1928. Same cabins and same lodge. Sounds like I may be able to find some old coins there too. ;D
Have a great w/end,
MM

Pretty cool relics. The bullet is intresting. Cut smooth maybe a chess piece or some sort of game piece? The farm still has a lot to give...
Keep safe.
