Got out with Patriot and our other detecting buddy again yesterday and while we planned on spending an hour at the site it ended up keeping us busy for nearly the entire day. Patriot stole the show yet again, but I snuck a few decent finds in. This site just keeps on giving and it's a shame it's a site that won't likely get ploughed anytime soon.
I got the pewter anchor button fairly quickly into the hunt and managed four crusty coppers and a handful of buttons.
Another good day out!

He just keeps doing it doesn't he!

Your button is a British Marines. Usually the 1812 ones have a backmark so you may see part of it. If not, it could be a little earlier. Not the prettiest, but definitely still counts.

You guys are finding the best sites this year!

I hope your site still has one killer find left in it and you get to show us!
Congrats on another successful hunt!

Love that button! Some other great finds as well...I just know that old Spanish or French silver is sitting there waiting for one of us to walk over it. Just great to get out digging before the freeze!
