Got out for at the most two hours today in the woods and my two best finds got me into the Revolutionary War time period.

My first find was what appeared to be a one piece button with some type of writing on it caked with dirt. After rinsing in distilled water I saw USA interlocking letters, it looked familiar, after searching the web I discovered I found the Continental Army uniform button 1777 to 1782.

The second cool find is a very worn KG II copper. By moving around in the light I could just barely make out King George, his head on the front and the outline of Britannia on the back. It's been a while since I've been into colonial stuff. I'm pretty stoked.

Enjoy the photos

A find of a lifetime for any relic hunter. That is probably one of the nicest I have seen on here.

Hi; Here is something to get a bit more stoked about. The USA button is Rare and valued at $ 1500 - $2000. In it's present condition I'd go for the $1500 range all day long. I have three so I'm speaking from experience ok. I hereby vote BANNER all day long as well. Is the shank still attached ??? If so then I'd say $1700 ok. PEACE:RONB

$1,500 with no shank? That's a long way from less than $800 here. Not sure where you get your numbers.
