Since the weather is so mild I took both yesterday and today off from work. Went out yesterday and hit Shawn's house first. I pulled a neat Mickey Mouse pin and some clad. The day was young so I hit a small park in Oberlin. I only pulled 1 penny in 30 minutes, :BangHead: so it was time to find a better place. Went to another town and hunted the public square. Most coins were either on the surface under the grass or very shallow. After I pulled $7.22 in clad, a couple modern tokens, and a neckerchief slide it was time to head home and maybe hit another target of opportunity. I found another park and did a 45 minute stroll pulling another $0.50 in clad. Sometimes you just need to dig and it always helps to pull some battery money out of the ground.

Today I went back to the house where I pulled the LC last weekend to give it one more shot. I have hunted this lot 4 other times. I could not believe that I missed 2 silvers on my previous hunts. :BangHead: The 43 quarter was near a tree in the back yard and the 58D Rosie was in the front yard, just below the steps next to the brick sidewalk. Over the summer they had a yard sale that lasted 2 months. I pulled some homemade jewelry, and older gilded button and a few other cool items. The neat stone was a surface find. I chased some deep pull tabs in the yard. One was almost 1o inches deep under a couple of roots :BangHead:.

Congratz! There's nothing like taking a couple of days off of work to just have fun. Being able to detect on those days is even better! And it appears that you did indeed have some fun days detecting! Way to go on silvers #53 & #54!!!

The guilt you must feel by taking the days off. LOL NOT! Nice hunting. Love the neckerchief slide, and the bonus silver.
