I decided to get out and detect during the short period of daylight after work. I decided to check out the exposed shore line of a near by lake because the water levels are lowered this time of year. I was not having much luck finding any targets. I have hunted this area many times before. I decided to try to dig whatever targets I could since they were few. I got a solid 12/21 on the Etrac this is not a normal signal that I would dig. I see a dark very small coin shaped item about 2 inches down. It seemed so small and dark I thought it might be play money or part of some jewelry or maybe a part of a pull tab. My eyesight not being so good up close, I was not sure what it was, but it did slightly resemble a trime that I saw on Treasurenet during my lunch break today. Once I got my glasses on I could not believe that I found a 1851 Trime. It is dark due to being in the water and has a layer of crud that is flaking off. The detail looks pretty good for getting pushed around in the lake for 164 years. I never thought I would find one of these.

Nice save, glad there weren't many targets there. The trime still eludes my coil.

Solid 12-21??
Do you know how many pull tabs that would be??
How deep was that coin??
Congrats on a sweet find.

Congrats on a sweet find.

That's why you don't see many posted. Mine rang up a little higher, like a bigger pull tab. [emoji4]
